WELL SUPPORT FOR SUPPORTER

Project description
The Wellbeing of Refugees’ Supporters (Well-Support) project addresses the well-being of people supporting other and culture of well-being in organizations that conduct refugee and refugee support activities and excluded groups. We support people who help others who are exposed to long-term effort and stress associated with helping those in need.
The “The wellbeing of refugees’ supporters” project helps organisations transform their internal processes to maintain a culture of employee and volunteer well-being within the organisation, to support those exposed to long-term strain and stress in the context of helping others in need: refugees, migrants and people in difficult situations.

What we developed during the project
The Well-Support Toolkit
The toolkit includes tools, methods and ideas for training and workshops on good support. It provides an overview of the curriculum that focuses on:
- Helping to recognise internal issues,
- Encouraging transparent communication
- Promoting a culture of well-being that supports all people
The Well-support Matrix
In the Well-Support Matrix we define the values from the perspective of their role in nurturing a well-support culture, i.e. one in which the organization cares about both the well-being of its beneficiaries and its team: employees and volunteers.
Practical application of well-support process
Educational videos that contain guidelines for trainers and adult educators: how to work using Well-support Matrix and Toolkit, how to engage supporters who are not familiar with the well-being concept and are skeptical about it and how to promote well-being culture.

This video introduces a simple yet powerful tool: a graph that maps well-being over time. Designed for teams and organizations, this tool fosters honest self-reflection and meaningful group discussions. By visualizing well-being, teams can identify patterns, connect emotionally, and adjust their approach to create a healthier and more supportive work environment.
The expedition game is a free, interactive board game designed to strengthen team cohesion, improve communication, and foster well-being within organizations. This game is tailored for teams of 6 to 14 participants, providing a safe and engaging environment to explore individual and collective well-being. No prior knowledge is needed just a willingness to embark on an exciting journey!
