GLIDE
Global Learning Impact and Development

Project description
GLIDE is a strategic partnership project initiated by YOUROPÍA (Spanish coordinating organization), STRIM (Poland) and EIVA (Romania). The project aims to promote quality, increase impact and facilitate learning in the youth field by developing professional competences and creating support and advisory structures dedicated to young people
The project is based on an analysis of the situation of youth work in the countries represented, in particular in terms of youth mobility advice. The project emphasizes the need for personalized and qualitative support, taking into account motivational and emotional aspects, learning objectives and the medium and long-term impact of the mobility experience for each young person.
In order to respond comprehensively to this situation, GLIDE addresses organizations, youth workers and young people with the following objectives:
Regarding ORGANIZATIONS:
-Improve the quality of work by implementing innovative practices in youth counseling.
– Strengthen cooperation, internationalization and networking of organizations active in the field of youth information and counselling.
On YOUTH WORKERS:
-Facilitating the learning process, professionalization and skills development in the field of youth information and counselling.
-To promote the exchange of good practices and experiences between youth professionals from different countries in Europe.
Concerning YOUTH:
-Offer flexible guidance and counseling services tailored to the individual needs of young people.
-Encouraging non-formal learning through mobility experiences and fostering their recognition.
To achieve these objectives, during the 18 months of the project, the partner organizations will implement a combination of face-to-face and online activities for young people who will be supported throughout the project by professional youth workers.
Since February 2019, EIVA Association has implemented the project « GLIDE – Global Learning Impact and Development, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Program, Key Action 2: Strategic Partnership.
Over two years, 5 EIVA team members carried out actions to present relevant European information to young people through group and individual sessions aimed at familiarizing young people with European programmes and opportunities.
Similar actions took place in Spain and Poland, organized by Youropia and STRIM, the two partner structures in the project. At local level we benefited from the support of the following partners:
Arad High School of Food Industry
Elena Ghiba Birta National College
Henri Coandă Technological High School of Auto Transport Arad
AD Xenopol County Library
Over 120 young people received support and guidance on different European programs and other opportunities dedicated to young people.
The project involved two visits realized during 2019 in Spain and Poland, and the planned meeting in Romania took place online in the context of the COVID19 pandemic.
