Bridging Beats
Exploring podcasting and sound-based methods to strengthen youth participation
EIVA has joined a new European partnership under the Erasmus+ programme titled Bridging Beats, a two-year project that brings together four organizations from France, Romania, Italy, and Armenia. The project officially began in the first of january 2025 and will run until 2026, under the Cooperation Partnerships in the field of youth (KA220-YOU).
Coordinated by Fédération Léo Lagrange (France), and implemented in partnership with EIVA Association (Romania), KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation (Armenia), and Agenzia per la Promozione dei Giovani (Italy), Bridging Beats aims to support youth participation through creative, inclusive and sound-based educational tools, with a focus on podcasting.
Why this project ?
Many young people still feel distant from traditional forms of democratic engagement and public life. Bridging Beats proposes podcasting and other audio-based formats as an accessible, flexible way to explore identity, self-expression, and civic topics.
The project addresses youth workers and organizations that are looking for alternative tools to strengthen young people’s voices and help them engage in reflection, dialogue, and action within their communities.
What Will Be Developed
Throughout the 24 months of collaboration, the project partners will create a series of open-access educational tools, including:
- A methodological guide introducing podcasting and audio facilitation as a youth work tool.
- A toolkit with workshops and adaptable activities that can be used in non-formal settings.
- A training curriculum to support youth workers who want to integrate podcasting into their practice.
- A Playlist of Participation featuring the voices of young people involved in the project, shared through co-created podcast content.
These resources will be tested in all four countries, and will be made available in several languages.
EIVA’s Role
As a partner in the project, EIVA will contribute to the design and testing of the tools, host local activities in Arad with young people and youth workers, and ensure that the resources developed are accessible and relevant for the Romanian youth sector. EIVA will also support dissemination of the results through its online and offline network of young learners, educators, facilitators, and partner organizations.
