What is Safe place ?
Safe Spaces is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership (KA220-YOU) dedicated to making youth work safer across Europe. The project equips youth organisations—particularly those active in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes—with the safeguarding policies, training, and digital tools they need to protect young people from harm, abuse, and exploitation.
Over a period of 24 months (September 2025 – September 2027), four partner organisations from Romania, Lithuania, and Belgium will:
- Develop 7 interactive e-learning modules available in at least four languages;
- Create a comprehensive safeguarding policy framework, including ready-to-use templates and a risk assessment tool;
- Launch an online platform hosting all project resources;
- Train 30 facilitators through a face-to-face training programme;
- Support 40 youth organisations in piloting and adopting safeguarding measures aligned with Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps standards.
By strengthening safeguarding capacity across the youth sector, Safe Spaces contributes to creating more inclusive and trustworthy environments where every young person can learn, participate, and develop free from harm.
